Forough Rostamian is specialized in Persian paintings & miniatures.
She was born in 1957 to an artistic & educated middle-class family in the city of Bojnord,
Iran which used to be called “little Paris”, a place famous for fashion & style, and it was
here where she started to learn art, painting and miniature.
Her love for painting & music actually started from early age. When her family moved to Mashad
when she was 8, she was already showing an interest in drawing & she continued to develop her
ambition during grammar school & high school.
In 1976 she took up residence in Tehran where she attended the University of Tehran. But eventually
she continued her study in the USA where she obtained her Master degree from the Boston University.
Nevertheless, in 1995 she settled back in Tehran where she received her Ph.D. in Business Management with major in Finance.
Even though she was a member of the Academic Advisory Panel for 20 years, she always had passion for painting & music.
Among the artists who influenced her in traditional Persian paintings & miniature works was Master
Alijan Pour & one of his outstanding student, Azra Lazemy & In the field of oil paintings she was
formally trained by Mr Delavari. She displayed her paintings in several exhibition shows in Iran.
In 2012 she migrated to Australia & decided to actively pursuit her singing career here.
She is hoping to present the beauty of the Persian arts by organising more exhibitions shows.
